Essex County FertilityCare teaches the Creighton Model FertilityCare™ Program, which involves 8 individual follow up sessions during the first year, and then regular follow ups at six and twelve month intervals afterwards. This ensures that the method is fully taught and understood. If needed, more follow ups can be scheduled. Each follow up usually takes about an hour, although they may be longer under special circumstances. It is very important to attend all scheduled follow ups in order to learn the system in its entirety and to develop confidence in the system.
Your first follow up is built upon the information from the Introductory Session and the User Manual, as well as your first two weeks of charting. It is very important to begin observations and charting immediately following the Introductory Session and for the couple/woman to read the introductory manual before the first follow up. Bring your charting for the first 2 weeks and your general intake form filled in to your first follow up.
To help keep operating costs as low as possible, follow ups are done in the practitioner’s home office. For most clients this does not pose a problem, if this is an issue, please advise the practitioner and a meeting room can be booked for follow ups.
It is encouraged that couples try to attend the follow ups together. This promotes a higher level of satisfaction and confidence. There is flexibility in the scheduling to try and accommodate this.
